“Our task must be to free ourselves… by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and it’s beauty.” Albert Einstein

If there is one thing common to Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen DeGeneres, and Paul McCartney other than being celebrities is that they support various animal causes around the world. It is heart-warming to see people, especially celebrities dedicate their free time for a whole lot of noble causes ranging from protecting wildlife to campaigning for climate change. Another celebrity that caught headlines recently is Brian May, the lead guitarist of the legendary rock band Queen and known for penning lyrics for the smashing Grammy hall of fame song We will rock You. He recently teamed up with perfume company Xerjoff and launched his own perfume to raise funds to help save European wildlife, in particular the Eurasian Badger which has been subjected to culling and persecution. According to the Badger Trust, 62,000 of the animals were culled in 2020 alone. The new perfume, which is called Save Me has notes of pink pepper, jasmine (Top notes), ylang-ylang (Heart note) and musk (Base note) and is of floral fragrance. Sergio Momo, founder, and creative manager of Xerjoff crafted the new perfume working with the Save Me Trust to benefit wildlife, and the words of Brian May sums up the whole endeavour “ Compassion has never smelled so sweet “!
